Photos from 120 counties

Frankfort ressident Ed Lawrence started traveling the back roads of Kentucky 10 years ago making landscape photographs with a little point-and-shoot digital camera. That has now turned into the book "Kentucky 120" featuring one photograph from each county.

Limited edition prints of these photographs sold through galleries and exhibitions nationally. However the complete collection was nevershown. Lawrence came up with the concept of a bookthat would include his photographs from each of Kentucky's counties.

With 120 photos selected by artist friends, a concept and no capital, he turned to kickstarter to raise money to print the book. He raised the funds, $12,000 in 27 days.

"Kentucky 120" is available at Poor Richard's Books, Frankfort; Morris Book Shop, Lexington; Carmichael's bookstores, Louisville; the Kentucky Artisan Center at Berea; and amazon.com. For more information and a preview of "Kentucky 120" go to www.zedzpress.com.
